Adult Sabbath School

The adult Sabbath School of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is established to encourage and promote a thorough study of God’s holy word through small-group discussions. It is our conviction that the Sabbath School should be relevant to the realities of a 21st century mindset and will work to inspire and to bring its members closer to God through its weekly program.

While fostering an open forum for discussion, the Sabbath School will also demonstrate attitudes of unity, love, respect and compassion.

The Mission of the Sabbath School:

The mission of the Sabbath School is to build faith and practice; faith through the study of the Scriptures and practice through the application of biblical principles and the teachings in the individual lives life of the Sabbath School members.

Faith comes from hearing, and hearing from the word of God.       Romans 10: 17

The Four Fundamental Goals of the Sabbath School:

  1. Study of the Word: the Sabbath School aims at helping the students to understand the gospel and to make a personal commitment to it. It
will help students develop a prayer-life pattern program and teach them how to interpret and apply the principles of the Scriptures to their lives.
  2. Fellowship: The Sabbath School will foster fellowship among members
through the weekly program and by developing group/team projects.
  3. Community Outreach: The Sabbath School will help its students catch a vision of the church’s mission in to the community, train them for service, and inspire them to witness. It will develop programs to involve them in soul-winning activities.
  4. World Mission Emphasis: The Sabbath School will present a clear vision of the global mission of the church. It will promote a personal, systematic, and self-denying commitment to the support of world missions, and foster in all a desire to help fulfill the gospel commission.
